Acropolis of Athens: Erechtheum and Propylea

Erechtheum and Propylaea

Erechtheum (Erechtheion, Ἐρέχθειον) is an old temple on the North side of the Athenian Acropolis. It was dedicated to the legendary Greek hero Erichthonius. On the right side, the monumental entrance – the Propylea – may be seen.

The image was taken from the North side, from the Athenian Agora.
