High tide
At high tide, the Mont-St-Michel (Mount St. Michael) changes to a island, connected to mainlad with a fortified causeway only. The causeway is planned to be removed in order to transform the Mont-St-Michel back to a real tide island. A wooden bridge should grant the access to the site in the near future.
