Abbey of Mont-St-Michel
Abbey of Mont Saint Michel (L’Abbaye du Mont-Saint-Michel) is the main monument on the island. The neo-Gothic spire, topped by a statue of the Archangel Michael, was added in the late 19th century. Although a visit to the island of Mont St-Michel is free, there is a charge to gain access to the abbey.
